com.ibm.commerce.foundation.dataimport.utill.DataImportHelper issue in IBM WCS

com.ibm.commerce.foundation.dataimport.util.DataImportHelper printException

INFO: Data import process was unsuccessful. An unrecoverable error has occurred.

This error occurs  when trying to run di-buildindex in a toolkit environment

(DataImportHandlerException: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space)

Steps to solve this issue. (Either step1 or 2)

Step 1.Directly updating the server.xml file

1.      C:\IBM\WCDE_ENT70_New\wasprofile\config\cells\localhost\nodes\localhost\servers\server1

2.      Search for initialHeapSize and maximumHeapSize and change as below

initialHeapSize=1024

maximumHeapSize=1024

Step 2.Increase heap memory from WAS Admin console

If that doesn't help try to increase the heap memory as below.

initialHeapSize=512

maximumHeapSize=1536
